NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION
Richard Bellemo Landscapes offers a complete garden design and construction service aimed at imitating nature across a broad range of formal and informal landscapes using the most sustainable processes possible. We work together with our clients to create landscapes that integrate seamlessly with existing architecture. No job is considered too big or too small.
Our landscape creation process comprises of four stages:
Our consultation process begins with a visit to your property where we take the time to familiarise ourselves with all the existing aspects. We are very thorough in our observations taking into account trees and other vegetation, important viewing points, fauna, neighbouring properties and any potential for borrowed landscapes. We also have an in depth discussion with you the client to gain an understanding of your lifestyle, likes and dislikes, budget and any expectations or ideas you have for your new landscape.
Notes will be taken away from our meeting along with measurements, photographs and any building plans or CAD files you might have available to aid us in the design process.
Our design process is a four stage process consisting of:
1. Concept plan
Shortly after our visit, a Landscape Concept Plan will be delivered to you along with some side notes including suggested materials and a plant outline as a starting point for the upcoming design process, should you wish to continue. This will be a combination of our interpretation of our earlier discussions and creative input.
Richard predominantly draws his design inspiration from the natural world to deliver gardens that compliment the setting and offer practical outdoor spaces for clients to enjoy, so you can be confident this initial concept plan will exceed your expectations.
2. Final concept plan
Once you have read the provided concept plan and accompanying side notes and made the decision that you wish to continue further a secondary discussion will take place where we will address any concerns you have with the concept plan and come to an agreement on a revised conceptual design for your landscape.
You will also receive a comprehensive plant book containing pictures and full descriptions of the plants to be used, a materials booklet as well as an estimated costing for the project.
3. Construction/Working drawings
Once we have both agreed on the final concept plan work can begin on the construction and working drawings. These will include a collection of elevation, detailed working drawings and rendered perspectives for various elements of the design.
At this stage of the process we will also take care of all planning permits on your behalf making things as comfortable and stress free for the client as possible.
4. Quotation and contract
The next step once both parties have agreed on the details of the working drawings is the creation of a detailed quotation for construction works and the signing of a Landscape contract by both parties.
Upon signing the landscape contract, construction work is ready to commence on the agreed date.
Our approach to construction is to be as sustainable as possible in everything we do.
Our materials used are locally sourced and where possible with client approval reclaimed or recycled.
A senior member of our construction team will be onsite daily, ensuring construction is flowing and accurate to the agreed plan. Should you have any concerns during the construction process they will be easily approachable for discussion.
Wherever possible construction will be kept in house, without the use of contractors so we can guarantee the high quality of work we have built our reputation on.
We understand that the stresses of work and family commitments can mean you will not always have the time to spend maintaining your newly created landscape. So as part of our process we also offer a maintenance service to all our clients should they require it. Our team will have intimate knowledge of your garden and are well experienced in the maintenance of all aspects of the garden enabling us to be best equipped to keep your garden looking its best. Maintenance plans and estimated costing's can be drafted upon request.
